Cerro La Campana - Olmué

Walk in the footsteps of Charles Darwin, who climbed this mountain on an expedition to Chile.

La Campana is a beautiful place, with a microclimate due to the moisture it receives from the Sea Mists that appear often in the mornings in this area.

During his explorations of South America, Charles Darwin visited Olmué and specifically Cerro La Campana.

The national park has a lot of interesting flora and fauna, including the now rare Chilean Wine Palm (Jubaea Chilensis). This tree is endemic to a small area of Central Chile and is now quite rare, especially in its natural habitat.
